I made it to my 6 month doctor appointment, but I did not like it. Do I really have to get shots EVERY TIME? Those things hurt! And you know it’s coming when the nurse comes in and immediately starts to hold me down. And it’s flu shot season… yeah, I got that shot too.

But there was good news… I’m in the 90th percentile for height and weight – 27.75” and 20lbs 8oz. I’m growing and growing, big and strong. Thinking of shopping for me? Buy me toddler clothes. I’ve outgrown all the baby sizes. But if you want to get me toys, I like those too.

Evan! Be quiet! My kid music is on! I’ve been really lucky lately since Mommy got new kid music for the car. We listen to it all the time. Right now we’re exhausting all the songs on our Disney movie cd. Next up will be a band I saw on one of my kid shows. I’m sure I’ll overplay that one too.

Yesterday we baked – chocolate cake and cinnamon muffins. I must be getting better at mixing because Mommy didn’t need to sweep and wash the floor this time. They were both really tasty… and you couldn’t tell that there was zucchini in them. Come on over and try some!

It’s been a hot one this week! Hot and humid. I’ve taken to wearing dresses 24/7 because there’s a cool breeze in there. And what do you do when you wear a dress? You DANCE! We have the coolest radio in our kitchen and it plays all our songs. Mommy has some really good dance songs in the playlist so I like to use the remote to turn it up real loud and dance and sing my heart out. Mommy caught me dancing on video, but because I was sans said dress, we’ll keep it in our home library. (This is a family blog you know.)

Besides our usual fun park and gymnastics activities, I also had a sleepover at Kay’s house with Maddie! We stayed up late playing princesses and got to sleep in the living room. It was awesome. No boys allowed, but it was nice to see Evan when he came back the next day.

Where’s my hand? Why are you taking my hand away? I want to eat my hand. I want to eat my shirt. I’ll eat your hand. Gimme a toy! Mommy says teeth are coming otherwise I wouldn’t be trying to chew on everything. How long does it take for these teeth things to get here? I’m running out of dry clothes.

Matter of fact, I’m running out of clothes altogether. I’m not even 5 months old and I’m not fitting into clothes for babies twice my age. Fortunately, I have an awesome Nana and a good shopper Mom. To make sure I keep my end of the growing bargain, I think that I’ll be adding some veggies to my food regimen too. Look for me on the field at the next Badger/Wolverine game… I may be playing soon.
